Job summary

A leading technology firm is looking for a Physical Security Manager in Penang. Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage physical security for Broadcom sites in Penang
• be responsible for the overall physical security for the Broadcom sites in Penang which currently include a mixed-use manufacturing site and a finished good warehouse
• be subject matter expert for all physical security needs
• assist & advise leadership, both local & global, in setting and implementing of security & visitor policies, develop and maintain security training & awareness programs for all new and existing employees and on-site contractors
• manage physical security guard service per Broadcom Workplace Services (WPS) strategies (currently outsource)
• manage Security Operation Centre (SOC) for the Penang sites & APAC sites when required; provide regular report & data analysis leading to continuous improvements
• ensure all security equipment, such as security access control system, digital clocking system, access readers, building alarm system, CCTVs, scanners, etc., are in good operation conditions to support operation needs (most hardware are currently supported by other Broadcom teams)
• be responsible for security surveillance, incident investigation & report
• be responsible for emergency response plan, emergency response team set up and related training; support crisis management & contingency planning
• stake holder management
• establish and maintain close working relationship with Batu Kawan & District Police & relevant agencies & authorities

Other Responsibilities

• support Facilities Manager for Penang sites, act as overall back up and on-site manager at the primary office location for facilities management activities
• be responsible for the implementation & compliance to Broadcom's Environment and Sustainability Policy & Occupational Health and Safety Policy
• Penang site coordinator for ISO14001
• deliver intra & cross functional tasks that are assigned from time to time

Requirements

• University Degree or major in security management or related fields such as law enforcement management, engineering or other areas with additional qualifications in security related fields
• 5 years or more years of working experience at supervision position in security related fields or law enforcement
• demonstrated knowledge or hands on experience on integrated security access control systems such as Lenel & CCure.

Regional WPS; scope would include all Broadcom sites in APAC region

• Primary: Batu Kawan Warehouse
• Required to travel between sites
