A leading aviation services company in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Production Manager to oversee all operations in the production section. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul within the aviation field, along with proven leadership experience of at least 3 years. Responsibilities include managing production workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving operational improvements. The position requires advanced knowledge of aviation regulations and excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of working experience in a Maintenance Repair and Overhaul within aviation environment is an added advantage
• Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electro-mechanical or Industrial Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role
• Proven expertise in manufacturing planning, safety management, quality assurance, and budgeting, complemented by strong business acumen
• Advanced knowledge of Aviation Regulations, MRO Regulatory requirements, MPM/QAR
• Strong understanding of inspection techniques, quality control, and manufacturing planning
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Bahasa Melayu
• Excellent leadership, team collaboration, time management, and project management skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Good understanding of the airfoil repair process (NDT, Welding, Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment, Metal forming techniques) is an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of production operations within the section, ensuring efficiency and compliance
• Take full accountability for the section’s operational performance, including process effectiveness, risk management, and internal/external customer satisfaction
• Provide both managerial leadership and technical expertise; actively engage in problem-solving, resource management, and waste reduction
• Apply strong analytical skills to evaluate data, interpret procedures and tests, and develop effective solutions
• Oversee and deliver complex improvement projects that drive operational excellence
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all production-related reports
• Assess employee skills and competencies; develop training plans and career progression strategies to enhance team capability
• Guarantee full compliance with regulatory authority requirements and customer specifications
• Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned
