Job summary

A global supplier of household products is seeking a candidate for finance management roles in Malaysia. The role involves overseeing tax filings and compliance, while managing cash operations. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant experience in finance, preferably within manufacturing contexts. Required skills include knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, proficiency in accounting software, and solid communication abilities. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably with hands-on experience in Malaysia taxation.
  • Experience in manufacturing or multi-entity environments is an advantage.
  • Experience in supervising cashier functions is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage compliant filing and documentation of the Company’s Sales and Service Tax.
  • Liaise with the Company Secretary on compliance matters.
  • Supervise daily operations of the cashier and fund management.

Job description

Alton Intelligent Technology Sdn. Bhd. is wholly foreign-owned by Alton Industry Ltd. Group, a US-based global supplier of household products and industrial tools, with a total land area of 45.25 acres.

The base in Malaysia has established a comprehensive complex of six full-featured factories. These factories integrate motor assembly, sheet metal processing, injection moulding, general assembly lines, and automated intelligent warehousing.

In addition to the core production and storage areas, it also carefully designed a five-story modern office building, two three-story canteens and activity centers full of life, and four five-story dormitory buildings.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Malaysia Tax Management
  • Responsible for the compliant filing, tax computation, exemption applications, and proper documentation and record-keeping of the Company’s Sales and Service Tax (SST).
  • Monitor changes in SST policies and regulations, promptly assess their impact on business operations and costs, and provide professional advice to management.
  • Handle the annual filing of Corporate Income Tax, submission of estimated tax payments, and tax reconciliation.
  • Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and tax authorities in relation to tax audits, tax queries, and follow-up on corrective actions.
Company Secretary and Compliance Liaison
  • Liaise with the Company Secretary on statutory compliance matters, including annual filings, Board-related documents, and updates of statutory records.
  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial and corporate compliance documents in accordance with corporate governance requirements.
  • Assist in handling compliance and financial documentation related to government authorities, banks, and third-party institutions.
Cashier and Fund Management Supervision
  • Supervise the daily operations of the cashier, including receipts and payments, bank transactions, cash management, and handling of payment instruments, to ensure fund security.
  • Review bank reconciliations, payment applications, and supporting documents to prevent financial risks and fraudulent activities.
  • Optimize cashier workflows and strengthen internal control procedures to ensure financial processes comply with company policies and audit requirements.
Financial Management and Support
  • Assist management in financial analysis, tax estimation, and cost control.
  • Participate in the establishment, improvement, and supervision of internal financial systems and procedures.
  • Perform other finance- and compliance-related duties as assigned by superiors.
Educational Background
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Banking, or related disciplines.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably with hands‑on experience in Malaysia taxation.
  • Experience in manufacturing, multinational companies, or multi‑entity environments is an advantage.
  • Experience in supervising cashier or fund management functions is preferred.
Professional Skills
  • Sound knowledge of Malaysia SST, Corporate Income Tax, and relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Basic understanding of Malaysia Companies Act and company secretarial compliance processes.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
  • Strong awareness of financial risk management and internal controls.
Personal Attributes
  • High sense of responsibility and integrity, with strong professional ethics.
  • Clear logical thinking with good communication and coordination skills, able to liaise effectively with internal teams and external parties.
  • Able to work under pressure and handle multiple financial and tax matters independently.
Language Requirements
  • Good command of Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
