A leading industrial gases company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced SAP professional to configure and enhance SAP modules while providing system support. The ideal candidate will manage SAP implementation projects, oversee resource allocation, and optimize business processes. Strong experience in program management, along with a minimum of 5 years in related roles, is required. The role also includes training users and ensuring data integrity across modules. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.

Job description

NovaAir Industrial Gases Sdn Bhd – Petaling

Configure, maintain, and enhance SAP modules (PM / PP / SD / MM/ FI).

Provide support for system issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Develop detailed project plans, resource requirement and allocation, risk assessments, and contingency strategies to facilitate successful development & implementation.

Manage system incidents, troubleshoot errors, and coordinate fixes with the IT team.

Process Improvement

Analyse current business processes and propose improvements using SAP best practices.

Drive optimization projects to enhance efficiency in plant operations, production workflow, sales cycle, and procurement processes.

Understand user requirements and coordinate/ align with IT team for delivery.

Prepare technical documentation, functional specifications, and SOPs.

Participate in SAP implementation, rollout, and module upgrade projects.

Conduct user requirement gathering, system testing, UAT, and deployment activities.

Ensure smooth integration across modules and with external systems.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress and measure success post-implementation.

Develop on-line or off-line training material to enable a sustainable the system implementation.

Training & User Support

Train end users on SAP functionalities and new enhancements.

Develop training materials and provide ongoing support to business teams.

Data & Reporting

Ensure data accuracy and integrity across modules.

Create and maintain SAP reports (standard/custom) to support business decision-making.

Facilitate the full life cycle of customer apps, and other digital interface projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, operations, marketing, sales, back office and external vendors, to gather requirements and ensure effective communication throughout the project.

Change Management

Lead change management initiatives to facilitate smooth adoption of new systems, including training and support for end-users.

Ensure seamless integration of SAP with customer interface applications, enhancing user experience and data flow across platforms.

Additional Duties

To undertake any additional duties, responsibilities, or temporary assignments as may be required to support evolving business needs, operational priorities, or strategic initiatives of the Company. This includes adapting to changing work requirements to ensure continuity and effectiveness of business operations.

Management Systems Support

To support, participate in, and assume roles related to any management systems that the Company subscribes to or intends to be certified in, including but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, HALAL, GDPMD, and other relevant standards.

Travel Requirements

To travel to company sites, customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies, or other relevant locations as required to fulfil business, operational, audit, compliance, or customer-related needs. Travel may be scheduled or ad-hoc depending on business priorities.
