SAP Reporting & Analytics Senior Consultant

Overview

We are undergoing a major transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, and we are looking for a Senior SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP Reporting & Analytics Senior Consultant to drive the implementation of advanced reporting and analytics solutions across SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This Technical Consultant role will focus on implementing and optimizing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Datasphere, and embedded analytics within SAP S/4HANA to empower decision-making and provide business insights.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reporting and analytics tools within the SAP ecosystem, including hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Datasphere. The consultant will be responsible for designing and delivering data integration for reporting, ensuring the delivery of real-time insights, and optimizing analytics processes across the business.

Key Job Responsibilities

• SAP Reporting & Analytics Architecture:
  • Design and implement end-to-end SAP reporting and analytics solutions, focusing on SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Datasphere.
  • Architect reporting and analytics solutions that deliver real-time insights, integrating data from SAP S/4HANA and other business systems.
  • Define and manage the overall data flow and data modelling strategies for business intelligence, ensuring high data accuracy and availability for reporting and analysis.
  • Design and implement data structures within SAP S/4HANA and SAP Datasphere to support reporting, dashboards, and analytics needs.
• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):
  • Implement SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting, planning, and predictive analytics.
  • Design and deploy SAC dashboards and reports, providing real-time, actionable insights to key business stakeholders.
  • Integrate SAP S/4HANA, third-party applications, and cloud data sources with SAC to enhance reporting data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Utilize SAC features such as data visualizations, storytelling, and planning capabilities to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure proper user access, security protocols, and governance for SAC-based reports and dashboards.
• SAP Datasphere Integration:
  • Integrate SAP Datasphere with SAP S/4HANA, ensuring a unified approach for data storage, modelling, and access.
  • Implement and manage SAP Datasphere for data warehousing, ensuring business data is effectively extracted, transformed, and accessible for analytics.
  • Develop and implement strategies for data harmonization and integration across SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP Datasphere.
  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP S/4HANA data with SAP Datasphere and other cloud platforms, enabling centralized data management for reporting and analytics.
• Embedded Analytics in SAP S/4HANA:
  • Leverage SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics capabilities to deliver real-time insights embedded directly into business processes.
  • Configure and implement CDS views (Core Data Services) and analytical queries within SAP S/4HANA to provide ad-hoc and standard reports.
  • Collaborate with business users and functional teams to create tailored analytical reports using embedded analytics within SAP S/4HANA.
  • Optimize the performance of embedded analytics, ensuring reports provide real-time data with minimal latency.
• Data Integration and Data Models:
  • Oversee data integration processes from SAP S/4HANA to other SAP BTP services (including SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Intelligence) and third-party systems to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Develop data models and ensure efficient data extraction processes from SAP S/4HANA for reporting purposes.
  • Implement best practices for data transformation, modelling, and integration to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
• Reporting Solutions and Dashboards:
  • Design, develop, and deploy business reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to finance, operations, procurement, HR, and sales.
  • Work with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and ensure reports meet business needs and compliance standards.
  • Implement performance monitoring and troubleshooting for SAP reporting systems, ensuring that reports and dashboards run efficiently.
• BI and Analytics Strategy:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define the BI and analytics strategy, aligning with overall business goals and digital transformation objectives.
  • Ensure reporting solutions are scalable, adaptable, and efficient, supporting future growth and innovation.
  • Define the data governance strategy to ensure reports are accurate, reliable, and compliant with data security policies.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for analytics and reporting needs, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Manage communication with internal and external vendors, SAP consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Continuous Improvement and Optimization:
  • Monitor and optimize SAP reporting and analytics solutions for performance, scalability, and adaptability.
  • Stay up to date with SAP analytics offerings, evaluating new tools and techniques to improve reporting capabilities.
  • Proactively identify and address bottlenecks and performance issues in SAP reporting and analytics.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Provide training and mentoring on SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics, and SAP Datasphere.
  • Share knowledge to foster continuous improvement and develop documentation for reporting solutions.

Required Experience, Qualification and Certifications

• Professional Experience:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP reporting and analytics, with at least 5 years in SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
  • Experience implementing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and integrating with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Expertise in data warehousing, data modelling, and data integration using SAP Datasphere and other SAP BTP services.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics, including CDS views, Fiori apps, and S/4HANA reports.
  • Experience with large-scale BI solutions and dashboard development.
• Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Relevant SAP certifications (S4HANA, SAC, Datasphere, BO or related) are highly desirable.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting, planning, and predictive analytics.
  • Proficiency with SAP Datasphere for data warehousing and integration across SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics and CDS views.
  • Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and integration best practices in SAP environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP BO, SAP Lumira, or other BI tools is a plus.
• Process and Methodologies:
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management for reporting/analytics delivery.
  • Understanding of data governance, quality, security, and privacy in reporting.
