About the Role
Support the sales team by handling customer orders accurately and promptly. Create new customer accounts, sales orders, payment terms and perform credit checks.
Responsibilities
- Check stock availability and provide customers with delivery schedules.
- Respond to customer enquiries (invoices, delivery orders, statements, test reports, credit notes, and payments).
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to meet purchase order requirements.
- Make follow-up calls to existing customers for new orders.
- Issue CNR/DNR and credit notes as required.
- Manage and update customer data, pricing, and sales information in SAP.
- Monitor collections, overdue accounts, and follow up on outstanding payments to improve cash flow.
- Update daily sales reports, check daily sales outstanding, and prepare tanker schedules.
- Track debtor listings, advance payments, bank guarantees, outstanding invoices, and LCs.
- Support budgeting and sales estimation processes.
- Arrange and dispatch product samples.
- Assist in monitoring cement sales performance against targets and rebate agreements.
- Inform customers of price and rebate changes, and update systems accordingly.
- Provide backup support for order processing (SCI or Cement) when colleagues are absent.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by superiors.
- Maintain confidentiality of company matters and refrain from sharing with external parties.
Education and Qualifications
- Diploma in Marketing, Business, or related disciplines, or equivalent working experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sales Support Specialist (or in a similar role) within a Sales Department.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of SAP (sales-related functions, data management, and reporting).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and computer literate in general.
Preferred Skills
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage
