This job description outlines the responsibilities and qualifications for a Lab Water Sales and Service Engineer. This hybrid role requires technical expertise for service and maintenance alongside the ability to drive sales of lab water purification systems and related consumables.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed assigned sales targets for lab water purification systems, accessories, services, and consumables (e.g., cartridges, filters, UV lamps).
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for sales and service inquiries.
- Product Expertise: Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions to explain the features, benefits, and specifications of the lab water portfolio.
- Quoting and Negotiation: Prepare and present detailed quotations, negotiate terms of sale, and close deals in line with company policies.
Technical Service and Support
- Installation & Commissioning: Perform professional installation, setup, and commissioning of lab water purification systems at customer sites.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and validation services (IQ/OQ/PQ) according to manufacturer specifications and service contracts.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment malfunctions efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for the customer.
- Technical Training: Provide technical training to customers on the proper use, operation, and basic maintenance of their lab water systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of all service activities, including service reports, parts used, and calibration results.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in science chemistry, biology, or a related technical field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 0-1 years of working experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as training and guidance will be provided
- Soft Skills: Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Travel: Ability to travel within the assigned territory to service customers and prospects.
