The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the company's overall commercial strategy. This role provides leadership to the sales and marketing teams, sets ambitious revenue goals, and drives all initiatives to increase market share, brand presence, and profitability.
JOB TASK
1. STRATEGIC PLANNING & BUDGETING
- Design, implement, and manage the company's comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to achieve aggressive growth targets.
- Prepare annual sales forecasts, set departmental budgets, and manage all resources to ensure a positive return on investment (ROI).
- Conduct continuous market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential threats.
2. TEAM LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales and marketing teams, fostering a high performance, collaborative culture.
- Establish clear goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team and individual members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs to enhance team capabilities.
- Oversee the hiring and onboarding of new talent within the department.
3. SALES & MARKETING OVERSIGHT
- Direct the sales team's activities, oversee the sales pipeline, manage key client relationships, and participate in crucial negotiations.
- Develop and manage sales channels, including direct sales, distributors, and online platforms.
- Oversee the planning and execution of all marketing campaigns, including digital marketing (SEO/SEM, social media, email), branding, content, and events.
- Analyze sales and marketing performance data and present comprehensive reports and strategic recommendations to the top management/board of directors.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- A minimum of 5 – 8 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, with 10 – 15+ years being ideal for a seasoned candidate.
- Ability to design and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies.
- Strong experience with preparing sales forecasts, setting departmental budgets, and managing for a positive return on investment (ROI).
- Expertise in directing sales team activities, managing sales channels (direct, distributors, online), and participating in high-level negotiations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of overseeing marketing campaigns, including digital marketing (SEO/SEM, social media), branding, and events.
- Strong ability to conduct market research, analyze competitor activities, and interpret sales and marketing performance data to make strategic recommendations.
- Must be able to speak and read Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
