About the Role
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company's footprint in Malaysia by selling engineering simulation, ANSYS solutions, and digital engineering services. The role focuses on enterprise accounts, strategic customers, and market expansion across key industries.
Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development
- Drive new business development and revenue growth for company's portfolio including ANSYS, CAD/CAE, simulation, and engineering solutions.
- Own and achieve annual and quarterly sales targets (licenses, subscriptions, services, and renewals).
- Identify and develop opportunities across enterprise, SMB, government, and academic sectors.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, needs assessment, solution positioning, proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders such as Engineering Heads, R&D Managers, CTOs, and Procurement teams.
- Position company as a trusted technology partner by offering value-based, solution-oriented selling.
- Work closely with pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams to ensure successful solution deployment and long-term customer satisfaction.
- Market Development & Partner Engagement
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for the Malaysia market.
- Collaborate with principals (ANSYS), channel partners, and internal teams.
- Represent company at industry events, technical seminars, customer workshops, and webinars.
- Forecasting & Reporting
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting through CRM.
- Provide insights on market trends, competition, and customer requirements.
- Prepare regular sales reports and management updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related discipline (MBA preferred).
- 7–12+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in:
- Engineering software
- CAD / CAE / PLM
- Simulation or Industrial software
- Prior experience or exposure to ANSYS or CAE tools is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in enterprise and solution-based sales.
- Good understanding of the Malaysia industrial and manufacturing ecosystem.
