JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development
- Develop, implement, and manage sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets for rooms and other hotel services.
- Identify, qualify, and secure business from corporate, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), leisure, and government sectors.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and property site inspections to showcase hotel facilities.
- Prospect and close new business accounts through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and industry contacts.
- Perform any other ad-hoc matters as assigned by superior and/or the management.
Account Management
- Maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring repeat business and client satisfaction.
- Handle client requests, negotiations, and contracts within the hotel’s pricing guidelines and policies.
- Monitor and manage group blocks, room allotments, and event bookings to optimize occupancy and revenue.
- Act as the main point of contact between the hotel and assigned clients.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to management.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotional offers, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Track sales productivity, conversion rates, and pipeline management in CRM systems.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, special offers, and digital campaigns.
- Coordinate with the operations and reservations teams to ensure smooth execution of bookings.
- Participate in hotel revenue meetings to discuss performance, targets, and strategies.
Market Representation
- Represent the hotel at industry events, exhibitions, and networking functions.
- Build relationships with local tourism boards, travel agencies, corporate travel managers, and event organizers.
Education & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related major
- 5-years working experience in the management operations or related field.
- Sales and account management experience: B2B in selling both Hotel packages and its F&B services, preferably in Hospitality industry.
- Strong market sensitivity and insight; with data analysis capabilities, sensitive to sales related data.
- Aggressive, result oriented and self-motivated team player.
- Excellent communication skills in English/Mandarin/Malay, good organizational skills and able to handle multiple priorities.
- Able to build and maintain strong relations with customers.
Willing to work in Penang
