Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to meet revenue goals and expand market share, particularly for products.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to make sure sales strategies are aligned with overall business goals.
  • Monitor trends, review competitor activity, and adapt strategy according to market changes and customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and retailers (or directly with farmers in some contexts).
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a sales team—setting goals, conducting training, and analyzing performance.
  • Align team performance with company targets and encourage ongoing professional growth.
  • Organize field activities such as demo plots, workshops, or farmer meetings to showcase product usage and benefits.
  • Provide agronomic advice on product application, nutrient management, and sustainable practices.
  • Track sales metrics, forecasting, and provide insights to inform strategic improvements.
  • Report regularly to senior management with actionable data and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards relevant to fertilizer products.

Job Requirement:

Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degre in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, or related fields.
  • 3–5 years (management role) to 8–10 years or more—particularly in fertilizer or agricultural inputs.
  • Proven track record achieving targets, managing teams, and developing business.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, analytic, and relationship-building skills.
  • Technical or agronomic expertise is a distinct advantage.
  • Willingness to travel—including frequent trips to rural or field locations.
