An event management company in Malacca seeks an experienced individual to oversee event planning and sales. Responsibilities include managing complex events and weddings, achieving sales targets, and collaborating with the marketing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the event industry, strong organizational and communication skills, and be commercially driven. The role requires flexibility, including evenings and weekends, and proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to brand standards.
Support the team in managing complex events and weddings when needed.
Ensure efficient use of Event Works or CRM systems for accurate data entry and reporting.
Encourage innovation and improvement within the team through idea-sharing and process enhancement.
Achieve monthly sales targets by proactively generating new business and expanding existing client relationships.
Monitor sales performance and identify revenue gaps and booking opportunities.
Conduct client show-rounds, negotiations, and finalize contracts to secure bookings.
Recognize and target new opportunities through proactive sales and strategic partnerships.
Calendar and yield management to optimize venue usage and maximize profits.
Ensure the delivery of a seamless client journey, from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Foster loyalty and satisfaction through personalized service and attention to detail.
Maintain sound knowledge of local competitors and industry trends to stay ahead of the market.
Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop and implement strategies that promote the venue.
Oversee the production of promotional materials, blogs, and PR initiatives.
Ensure key messaging is aligned with the company’s brand and values across all channels.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in event or wedding sales, with a proven track record of achieving targets.
Strong knowledge of the events and wedding industry; MICE experience is required.
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and manage short turnaround times under pressure.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
Outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and team management experience.
Commercially driven with strong negotiation and closing skills.
