A leading technology solutions provider based in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Manager to drive revenue for their factory automation solutions. The successful candidate will own the sales cycle, manage customer relationships, and support marketing initiatives. A degree in Engineering or Business, along with a proven sales track record in high-tech automation, is required. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of regional languages is a plus. Willingness to travel is also necessary.

Drive revenue for Alpha X’s factory automation and industrial IT solutions (e.g., AMHS, equipment automation, MES/MCS, analytics) while maintaining disciplined pipeline hygiene.
Identify, prioritise and develop new business opportunities, strategic accounts and channel partnerships.
Own the full sales cycle for assigned opportunities from qualification to handover, ensuring clear commercial scopes and executable commitments.
Lead customer engagements and establish trusted relationships with stakeholders (CxOs, engineering, manufacturing, procurement).
Translate customer requirements into tailored solution proposals, business cases and ROI focused value propositions.
Lead solution demonstrations, proof of concept trials and technical presentations with internal solution teams.
Apply basic commercial governance: prepare pricing inputs, document commercial assumptions, and flag contractual or margin risks to the Senior Sales Manager.
Coordinate presales activities and handovers with engineering, delivery and marketing to ensure proposals are executable and competitive.
Support marketing activities, events and roadshows to generate leads and strengthen brand presence.
Provide market feedback and customer insights to inform product positioning and GTM strategy.
Leadership & Process
Mentor and supervise assigned junior sales/presales colleagues: coach on opportunity qualification, proposal quality and customer communications.
Drive continuous improvement of sales processes, CRM discipline and forecast accuracy.
Represent Alpha X in commercial negotiations and contract discussions in line with company guidelines.
Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Company as and when required.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline.
Minimum 7 years’ sales or presales experience in high-tech, manufacturing automation, industrial software or related solutions.
Proven track record selling solution-based offerings to manufacturing customers (semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing preferred).
Strong consultative selling, negotiation and commercial acumen.
Comfortable with technical discussions and able to bridge business and technical stakeholders.
Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or other regional languages is an added advantage.
Willing to travel (domestic or international) as required.
Preferred / Additional
Familiarity with MES, MCS, AHMS/OHT, equipment automation, FDC, or AI-driven manufacturing analytics.
Experience managing channel partners and strategic accounts.
Demonstrated ability to learn and represent an evolving product portfolio.
