Job summary

A leading company in the flooring industry is seeking a sales and marketing professional to develop effective strategies and expand market presence in Ipoh, Perak. The ideal candidate will manage customer relationships, oversee credit control, and support a sales team to achieve targets. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English and the ability to travel are required. This is an on-site role based at KLK Hardwood Flooring Sdn Bhd.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in the woodworking industry or building construction materials is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written); Chinese language skills are an advantage.
  • Must possess own transport and be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to expand market presence.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Oversee credit control and manage bad debt.
  • Prepare and present statistical reports for management review.
  • Foster relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Address customer claims and complaints promptly.
  • Coordinate and lead the sales team to meet market demands.
  • Prepare quotations, visit plans, and relevant reports.
  • Ensure all management directives are executed to achieve sales targets.
  • Travel regularly to maintain customer relationships.

THIS POSITION IS BASED AT KLK HARDWOOD FLOORING SDN BHD, LOCATED IN IPOH, PERAK.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to expand market presence locally and internationally.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, including non-traditional segments, to drive revenue growth.
  • Oversee credit control and manage bad debt to ensure healthy financial operations.
  • Prepare and present statistical reports, including monthly sales, gross profit margins, slow-moving stock, trend analysis, and sales forecasts for management review.
  • Foster strong relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Address customer claims and complaints promptly, maintaining the company’s reputation for quality service.
  • Coordinate and lead the sales team to meet market demands and achieve monthly On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) targets.
  • Prepare quotations, visit plans, and other relevant reports as required.
  • Ensure all directives from management are executed to achieve sales targets.
  • Travel regularly to maintain customer relationships and explore new business opportunities.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Job Success Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in the woodworking industry or building construction materials is preferred.
