Job summary

A leading flooring company in Malaysia is searching for a motivated Marketing and Sales Executive to enhance product lines and develop marketing strategies. You will be responsible for expanding market share, managing customer claims, and providing detailed statistics to management. The ideal candidate has a degree in business or marketing and 2-5 years of experience in related industries. Exceptional communication skills in English and Chinese, along with the ability to build strong customer relationships, are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in woodworking industries or building construction materials.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English and Chinese is advantageous.
  • Must possess own transport and be willing to travel.

Job description

To plan and develop marketing strategies that will help to open markets and enhance the business of company’s product lines.

To constantly source for new and non-traditional market to expand market share and to improve sales revenue.

To be responsible to control bad debt and improve the credit control.

To receive and provide ideas and feedback whenever necessary to our Management team, customer etc. to ensure best level of customer service and good quality products are provided.

To handle and manage the customer claims and complaints.

To ensure the effectiveness and efficient sales orders processing both for existing customers and new customers.

Constant travel to provide quality services and to gain customer trust and loyalty.

To strengthen the customer relationship with the company and report to Head of Sales.

To coordinate sales team according to market needs and to meet the monthly OTIF of the company at all time.

To provide statistics reports such as monthly sales report, gross profit margin, slow moving stock, trends analysis for the management and sales forecast report.

To provide sales budget / implementation and analysis reports of sales performance.

To have goal oriented and highly self‑motivated for success, with a proven track record of achieving set goals.

To ensure key directions from the Management are followed through and accomplished to meet with the required sales targets.

To maintain or develop closer relationship with current customers and potential customers.

To prepare quotation, visit plan, and other related reports.

To undertake any other duties as assigned by superior from time to time when need arises.

Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a degree in marketing/Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
  • Preferably had 2–5 years working experience in wood‑working industries or building construction material.
  • Persuasive sales and negotiating skills.
  • Results orientated, self‑motivated team player with good interpersonal, communication skills and be able to work independently.
  • Approachable and be able to communicate well with all levels within the organization.
  • Driven and enthusiastic towards achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written in English, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence.
  • Writing and good communication skills in Chinese languages is an advantageous.
  • Possess own transport & must be willing to travel.
