Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Sales Executive specializing in the plastics trade. The role involves managing import/export operations, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Candidates should have at least 2 years of sales experience, a diploma/degree, and proficiency in English and other languages. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in tele-marketing or trading.
  • Must have good command of written and verbal English and experience in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin/Chinese dialects.

Job description
Sales Executive (Plastics trade/Import, Export and Domestic)
  • (Trade) Import & export, stock planning & order management, logistics operations. Preferably with experience or knowledge in polymers industry
  • (Trade) Sales coordination between domestic and international customers and suppliers.
  • Pro-actively identify new markets and develop new business opportunities, build & promote strong & long-lasting customer business relationship.
  • Regularly visit existing & potential new customers to expand sales, new penetration & increase market shares, and to resolve non-routine queries & problems.
  • Regularly prepare reports on customer visit and business performance; by highlighting new business opportunities, quality problems and lost business analysis for action by the management.
  • Compose quotation, correspondence, report and presentation.
  • Closely follow up customer payment ageing and ensure prompt payment by the customer.

Other ad hoc duties (business related) as and when required by management.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience in tele-marketing or trading (sales negotiation).
  • Must possess at least a Diploma / Degree in any field.
  • Domestic and international business trips required time-to-time.
  • Good command of written and verbal English a must; competency in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin/Chinese Dialects.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
