Promote and sell a portfolio of food ingredients to customers within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.

Identify and develop new business opportunities and applications across key food segments (e.g., bakery, dairy, beverages, confectionery, savoury).

Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow up on sales leads to achieve revenue and margin targets.

Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long‑term retention.

Conduct regular customer visits to understand product requirements, formulation needs, and business challenges.

Coordinate product trials, sampling, and technical evaluations with customers and internal technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
  • Promote and sell a portfolio of food ingredients to customers within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and applications across key food segments (e.g., bakery, dairy, beverages, confectionery, savoury).
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow up on sales leads to achieve revenue and margin targets.
Account Management & Customer Engagement
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long‑term retention.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand product requirements, formulation needs, and business challenges.
  • Coordinate product trials, sampling, and technical evaluations with customers and internal technical teams.
Technical & Product Support
  • Work closely with technical and application teams to provide ingredient recommendations and application support.
  • Assist customers with formulation trials, product optimization, and troubleshooting where required.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, ingredient functionality, and regulatory considerations.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
  • Monitor market trends, customer demands, competitor activities, and regulatory developments within the food ingredients market.
  • Provide sales forecasts, activity reports, and market feedback to management.
  • Support product launches, marketing initiatives, and customer seminars or exhibitions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with supply chain, customer service, and quality teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely deliveries.
  • Work closely with principals/suppliers to align on product positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies.
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Nutrition, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of sales or technical sales experience within the food ingredients or food manufacturing industry (fresh graduates with strong technical background may be considered).
Skills & Competencies
  • Basic understanding of food ingredients, formulations, and food processing applications.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
