Report to: Sales Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Achieve Sales Targets
- Drive outright sales of baby products to retail outlets, pharmacies, supermarkets, Departmental store and distributors.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
2. Generate New Business
- Identify potential clients and convert them into active accounts.
- Expand market reach by onboarding new retail partners and distributors.
3. Product Promotion and Presentation
- Effectively present product features, benefits, and pricing to clients.
- Gentle guide customers on product usage, USPs (unique selling points), and safety standards.
4. Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Resolve customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
5. Market Visits and Coverage
- Visit retail outlets regularly to ensure consistent order flow and stock availability.
- Monitor competitor activity and gather market intelligence during field visits.
6. Merchandising and Brand Visibility
- Ensure proper product display, shelf space, and point-of-sale materials are in place.
- Support in-store promotions and branding initiatives.
7. Order and Payment Management
- Process orders accurately and ensure timely delivery.
- Follow up on payments and reduce outstanding dues as per company policy.
8. Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain daily sales activity reports and customer visit logs.
- Provide market feedback and sales forecasts to the Sales Manager.
9. Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Coordinate with Logistics Ensure timely order fulfilment and stock availability by maintaining effective communication with warehouse. Resolve delivery or stock-related issues promptly to avoid disruption in sales.
- Support Marketing Initiatives Collaborate with the marketing team to execute local promotional campaigns, in-store activations, and product launches. Provide on-ground feedback to enhance campaign effectiveness and brand visibility.
- Liaise with Finance Department Work closely with the finance team on billing, invoicing, payment collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts. Ensure alignment on credit terms, outstanding dues, and financial reporting related to sales activities.

Sales Target Achievement
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual outright sales targets.
- Drive sell-in volumes to retail stores, pharmacies, and distributors or etc.
New Business Development
- Identify and onboard new retailers, baby stores, and distribution partners.
- Expand the outlet coverage in assigned territories.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Product Visibility & Merchandising
- Ensure proper placement, branding, and visibility of baby products at retail points.
- Monitor and improve in-store execution (e.g., shelf space, promotional materials).
Market Intelligence
- Gather insights on competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams for strategic decisions.
Order & Payment Management
- Ensure timely order collection, invoice processing, and payment follow-ups.
- Minimize outstanding dues and improve cash flow.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate sales reports, customer records, and visit logs.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to the Sales Manager.
Territory Coverage & Route Planning
- Optimise field visits and route plans for maximum coverage and efficiency.
- Maintain a structured beat plan with regular follow-ups.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
- 2 to 4 years of proven sales experience in FMCG, or baby care products.
- Prior experience in field sales, B2B selling, or managing retail and distributor accounts is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong selling, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
