The Sales Executive – Diagnostics and Discovery Genomics plays a dual role in expanding the company’s diagnostic and research testing footprint.
The executive will drive diagnostics-related sales by working closely with hospitals, clinicians, and healthcare professionals, while simultaneously building and managing relationships within universities and research institutions. This ensures that both verticals—clinical diagnostics and research genomics—are strategically developed in parallel.
Objectives
- Establish and grow the company’s diagnostic test portfolio adoption in hospitals and health centres.
- Build and sustain relationships within academic and research ecosystems, aligned with company capabilities.
- Engage clients across both clinical and research markets for consistent pipeline and revenue growth.
- Support cohort projects and research collaborations selectively and efficiently.
- Contribute to proposal development, market feedback, and internal alignment across functions.
Responsibilities
Diagnostics Sales (Hospitals/Clinics)
- Identify and engage private/public hospitals and medical specialists for diagnostic tests.
- Promote diagnostic services such as genomic panels, infectious disease testing, and screenings.
- Drive adoption through presentations, relationship management, and proposal support.
- Track diagnostics-related tenders, panel opportunities, or clinical collaborations.
- Coordinate with lab, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth test ordering and delivery.
Research Engagement (Universities/Research/Cohorts)
- Identify and cultivate relationships with researchers, PIs, and university departments.
- Promote WES, genotyping, and custom test offerings for research grants or academic projects.
- Track major grants (e.g., FRGS, LRGS), tenders, and public‑funded research opportunities.
- Support selected cohort projects by assisting in proposal preparation and liaising with internal teams.
- Ensure clear handovers and documentation for project implementation.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain active pipeline and records of customer relationship management.
- Provide structured weekly updates and flag high‑potential leads or risks.
- Attend sector events (both clinical and academic/research) to represent company services and network.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Contribute to grant proposals, assist lab team in shaping research‑oriented offerings, and support ethics approval processes if required.
