The Role
An adventurer to explore and secure new business opportunities that drives business growth, foster strong customer relationships, and deliver solutions to solve customer pain points. The in-depth knowledge of engineering technology and the ability to understand customer needs are the key contributing factors to the business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Being proactive in identifying and developing new business opportunities via effective selection and categorisation of customers.
- Practice effective account planning, preparation and reporting by ensuring concise and effective update of reports as required by management.
- Demonstrate effective account management and development via Account analysis to establish a deep understanding of the customer’s business and their problems/concerns and priorities.
- Achieve sales and GP budgets through product demonstration with confidence and credibility to customers the technical and commercial benefits of IMI Precision Engineering’s products and their differentiation from the competition.
- Undertake effective up to date market trend, information analysis of situations and data and thus providing feedback to management team to drive continuous improvement.
- Play a key role in securing excellent, valid commercial contractual terms by assessing and identifying opportunities to reduce commercial risk, and negotiating of appropriate contractual terms and conditions and obligations.
- Collaborate with engineering team to keep tabs on post-sales feedback and support technical assistance to address customer concerns.
- Provide updates in CRM for up to date reporting.

What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in any related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years or more with proven track sales records and technical understanding of how technical and product knowledge can be applied in practice with strong understanding of Pneumatic systems; motion and fluid control
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively
- Demonstrate interpersonal effectiveness and professionalism in ensuring a win-win situation for both internal and external customers.
- Equipped with strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset to identify/address problem statement with appropriate solutions
- Willing to travel as required, such as to customer sites, trade shows and industry events
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to promote team work and growth
- Possess strong sense of curiosity, able to grasp technical concept quickly with a willingness to continuously learn and grow
