Job summary

A leading engineering solutions firm is seeking a Sales Engineer to develop new accounts and maintain good relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least one year of sales experience in engineering products. Key skills include technical presentation, customer relationship management, and the ability to solve equipment problems efficiently. The position requires travel throughout Peninsular Malaysia, and the remuneration package is negotiable.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge in applications of centrifugal pumps and compressors is required.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel throughout Peninsular Malaysia.

Sales Engineer - Industrial Pumps and Equipment

Reporting Locations (multiple options): Shah Alam (Central) / Kuantan (East Coast) / Johor (Southern)

Responsibilities
  • Develop new accounts and open new markets.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements, including planning and modifying products to meet customer needs.
  • Help clients solve installed equipment problems with a sense of urgency.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with prospective, new, and existing customers.
  • Persuade customers about the excellence of our products and services.
  • Establish a customer database and accurately maintain a CRM system and other relevant tools to manage sales activities, opportunities, and pipelines.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports, annual sales targets, and yearly market planning.
  • Meet established sales quota and revenue goals.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • At least 1 year of working experience and a proven record in sales for engineering products.
  • Knowledgeable in engineering product applications such as:
  • Centrifugal Pump
  • Gear/Lobe Pump
  • Vacuum Pump
  • Compressor
  • Plate Heat Exchanger
  • Actuator
  • Valve
  • Tubes and Fittings
  • Experience in dealing business with General Industries such as:
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Semiconductor
  • Printing and Packaging
  • Food and Beverage
  • Personal Care
  • Brewery
  • Palm Oil and Oleo Chemical, etc.
  • Chemical
  • Able to deliver presentations to customers and integrate technical knowledge and selling skills.
  • Good command of English in writing, speaking, and reading.
  • Good in pricing and negotiating skills.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
  • Negotiable on the remuneration package.
