About the Role

We seek a highly motivated and driven Sales Engineer / Product Specialist to spearhead sales development for Gravotech's marking and engraving solutions across Malaysia.

This hands‑on role suits a proactive individual unafraid to "get their hands dirty" through client visits, product demonstrations, technical discussions, and fieldwork. You will build a strong sales pipeline in the automotive and manufacturing sectors, nurture leads, and close deals to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect, identify, and develop new business opportunities in the automotive, manufacturing, and related industries.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations, presentations, and proof‑of‑concept trials for potential clients.
  • Provide expert consultation on Gravotech solutions, tailoring recommendations to meet client needs for traceability, marking, and engraving.
  • Negotiate contracts, prepare quotations, and close sales to achieve targets.
  • Establish and maintain long‑term relationships with customers, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team for installations, training, or after‑sales support when needed.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in Malaysia.
  • Report on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related fields) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, ideally with industrial equipment, machinery, or marking/traceability solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive and manufacturing industries in Malaysia, including key players, processes, and traceability requirements.
  • Proven track record of developing sales pipelines and closing deals in a B2B environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within Malaysia.
