Job Overview

In this role, you will combine technical expertise in chemical engineering with sales and project execution skills. You will be involved in a wide range of projects, collaborate with professionals across multiple sectors, and be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships to drive business growth and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Marketing, Business, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a sales executive, sales engineer, or in a similar role within government/private sectors, including GLCs.
  • Strong technical background in chemical processes, laboratory equipment, and safety/environmental regulations.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Able to work independently with excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
  • Results‑driven, proactive, strong work ethic, self‑motivated, team player, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in the Aviation industry is an added advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have own transportation and be willing to travel as required by projects.

Responsibilities
Sales & Relationship Management
  • Develop, strengthen, and maintain working relationships with government sectors, relevant ministries, government agencies, private sector organizations, and regulatory bodies in Malaysia.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their product and process requirements, facilitate supply solutions, and resolve inquiries or complaints.
  • Conduct periodic reviews with senior management to evaluate sales performance, re‑strategize, and enhance client support.
  • Identify and procure external service providers/vendors as needed, while maintaining strong partnerships and adhering to procurement policies.
  • Support backend operations using systems such as e‑Perolehan, QMS for DPA, and other relevant platforms.
  • Ensure overall service delivery and quality meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional integrity in all interactions.
Technical & Engineering Duties (Chemical Focus)
  • Conduct research and development to improve chemical handling and processing methods.
  • Design or optimize equipment used in chemical handling and production.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures for chemical operations.
  • Perform quality control tests to ensure products comply with standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and optimize production processes for efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to environmental and regulatory requirements.
Project Management & Coordination
  • Identify potential project risks or delays and report regularly to the Executive Committee on progress.
  • File all relevant documents, reports, and records in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Develop project plans, track progress, and manage changes in scope, schedule, or cost.
  • Establish and maintain dashboards for ongoing project performance monitoring.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on project needs.
