A leading automation solutions company in Malaysia, Negeri Sembilan is seeking an experienced professional in Sales & Business Development. The candidate will identify business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and maintain key customer relationships. Responsibilities include delivering technical presentations, preparing project proposals, and conducting market research. Successful applicants should have a degree in Engineering, three years of sales management experience, and strong communication skills. Frequent travel may be required.
You will play an important role in the following areas:
Identify and establish new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
Responsible for sales of products and services and fabrication systems to new customers.
Staying up to date with strategic plans and processes to align market strategies.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing technical advice, and support before and after sales.
Understand the needs of key accounts to propose relevant solutions based on their specific requirements.
Deliver product demonstrations, systems/products design selections, and explain technical aspects in a clear, accessible manner.
Costing, quotations, engage in negotiation and execution of purchase orders from customers.
Prepare project proposals incorporating the product offering, pricing, payment and relevant commercial terms.
Analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies.
Awareness of product and service marketability, customers’ technical and manufacturing needs as well as local government regulations.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Manage relationships with existing customers while developing new business opportunities.
Provide training, troubleshooting, and recommendations for product improvements.
To succeed in this role, we will require:
Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or comparable education in related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Automation System and Project Sales management.
Good working knowledge of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, PLC, Servo Drive programming and Automation systems.
Ability to succeed in an environment of continuous improvements and stretched targets.
Good influencing, negotiation and selling skills and the ability to maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Able to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, persuasive manner.
Possess analytical skills to assess customer needs and propose solutions.
Must be proactive, multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
Independent with strong sense of responsibility and initiatives.
Mature personality, enthusiastic, a team player and the ability to work under pressure.
Willingness for frequent domestic and international business travel as needed.
Good command of English, both spoken and written.
Possess own vehicle and valid driving license.
