Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Klang City is looking for a skilled SHE Manager to assist the Head of Department in managing the Integrated Management System compliant with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015. The role involves conducting safety audits, training, and regulatory compliance. Ideally, candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in SHE roles, with qualifications such as a degree in a related discipline and familiarity with relevant laws. Applicants must be proactive and ready to work in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ working experience in the manufacturing field.
• Green Book holder and familiar with ISO14001 & ISO45001 documentation.
• NIOSH Safety and Health Officer (SHO) certification is an advantage.

Job description

Assist HOD in managing and implementing the Integrated Management System (IMS) for ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015 related matters

Implement SHE workplace inspections and audits to identify any unsafe act or unsafe conditions to eliminate workplace hazard exposure

To conduct SHE induction for new employee/visitor/contractor

Manage renewal of machinery certificates with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (PMT, PMA, PMD)

To conduct the collection, analysis, and maintenance of statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, and occupational disease that have occurred at the place of work

To lead and monitor any scheduled waste management and engage with the contractor registered with DOE to collect scheduled waste at the factory within the stipulated time

To conduct internal firefighting equipment inspection (Fire hydrant, hose reel, break glass, fire extinguisher, etc)

To assist the Head of Department (HOD) in organizing and implementing the SHE program at the place of work.

To assist the Head of Department (HOD) in helping related local authorities in carrying out their duties under the Act or any regulations made under the Act.

To carry out any other instruction made by the Head of Department (HOD), or any other person in charge of the place of work, on any matters pertaining to SHE of the place of work.

Job Requirements

Degree or Diploma in any related discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years’ working experience in the manufacturing field, and a Green Book holder

Well-versed knowledge in relevant laws and legislation, such as OSHA 1994, EQA 1974, and other legal requirements

NIOSH Safety and Health Officer (SHO) certification will be an added advantage

Has valid competency registration for CepSWAM with the Department of Environment (DOE)

Familiar with ISO14001 & ISO45001 documentation, safety procedures, and promote safe work culture

Experienced in corresponding and interacting with governing bodies or relevant authorities, including DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, Local Municipal Council, etc.

Willing to work at Kawasan Perindustrian Bukit Raja, Klang
