Job description

This is a full-time position as a Safety Officer based in Johor, reporting to the Health, Safety and Environment team at Siacon Technology Sdn Bhd, a leading construction company. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of robust health, safety and environmental policies and procedures across the organisation's construction sites and projects.

What you’ll be doing

Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of construction sites to identify and address potential health, safety and environmental hazards.

Develop and implement site‑specific safety plans and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Provide training and support to construction teams to promote a strong safety culture and best practices.

Investigate all incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to health, safety and environmental performance.

Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of construction operations.

Stay up‑to‑date with changes in health, safety and environmental regulations and industry best practices.

What we’re looking for

Degree or diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.

Strong understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with all levels of the organisation.
