Job summary

A construction firm in Sepang seeks a Safety Officer to provide guidance on Occupational Safety and Health measures and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities include advising management, implementing safety policies, investigating incidents, and leading safety programs. Qualifications

• Registered with DOSH or NIOSH as Green Book or at least a yellow book preferred.
• Able to communicate with relevant governmental Authorities.
• Experience in leadership and conversant with safety regulations.
• Experienced in safety aspects within a construction environment.

Job description

To advise management on measures to be taken in the interest of Occupational Safety and Health at work site;

Responsible to ensure company Health & Safety System is in compliance with governmental regulations and requirements;

To implement safety policies to ensure workplace improvement in relation to safety and health practices;

Investigate fatal accident, dangerous occurrence or occupational diseases when happen and ensure proper reporting to the relevant Authorities are carried out;

Take a lead role in organizing any safety and health programme to promote safety awareness;

Conduct regular safety / toolbox meetings to keep track and address all safety issues.

Requirements

• Registered with DOSH or NIOSH as Green Book or at least a yellow book preferred;
• Be able to communicate with relevant governmental Authorities;
• Equipped with good interpersonal & communication skills;
• Have leadership qualities to lead a team of safety personnel, conversant with all safety rules and regulations;
• Experienced and exposed to all safety aspects in the construction environment
