Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring full compliance with all occupational safety and health (OSH) regulations and company policies to foster a safe and healthy working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all Malaysian OSH legal requirements, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Factory and Machinery Act, and relevant Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) standards.
  • Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures.
  • Training & Awareness: Organize and conduct safety programs, including safety inductions, Safety & Health meetings, and emergency drills, to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Incident Management: Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring timely reporting to regulatory agencies (DOSH) and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, reports, and permits, as required by law and company policy.
  • Committee Participation: Actively participate in and support the company's Safety & Health Committee meetings and initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Registration: Must possess a valid "Green Book" registration as a Safety and Health Officer from the Malaysian Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
  • Experience: A minimum of [Number, e.g., 2-3] years of working experience in an OSH role, preferably within the [Relevant industry, e.g., construction, manufacturing] sector.
