Job description

Advance Jupiter Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Safety Health Officer to join our team on a contract basis in Bayan Lepas, Penang. As a Safety Health Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high health and safety standards across our construction projects, ensuring the wellbeing of our employees and contributing to the overall success of the company.

What you’ll be doing
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Risk Control (HIRARC) and ensure mitigation measures are implemented as well as coordinate the development of Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and ensure staff are trained accordingly.
  • Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents and near misses, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging safe work practices among all employees.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, or noncompliance issues.
  • Maintaining detailed records and preparing comprehensive reports on safety performance.
What we’re looking for
  • Valid Green Book registered with DOSH (mandatory).
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to think critically and act proactively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Valid CIDB Greencard.
  • Valid NIOSH (NSTP / NTMSP).
