Job summary

A manufacturing company in Port Klang is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment officer to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain safety protocols. Responsibilities include organizing training, monitoring compliance, investigating incidents, and liaising with various authorities. Ideal candidates should hold a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field, have at least 1 year of experience, and possess strong communication skills in both Bahasa Melayu and English.

Qualifications

  • Well-versed in OSH Legislation and safety protocols.
  • Able to relate Safety, Health issues to business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety of the plant at all times.
  • Organise training related to Safety and Health.
  • Update safety and health policies as per regulations.
  • Monitor compliance with JKKP regulations.
  • Investigate accidents and compile reports.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities regarding safety matters.
  • Advise management on Health, Safety, and Environment compliance.

Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Safety, Health and Environmental management or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of working experience in Safety, Health and Environmental especially in manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
  • Well-versed in OSH Legislation, Occupational Risk Assessment, and related safety protocols.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Good communication skills with proficiency in both Bahasa Melayu and English.
  • Able to relate the Safety, Health and Environment issues to the business operation.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and security of the plant at all times.
  • Organise the activities including training and meeting related to Safety and Health, Environment and ERT.
  • Update and maintain the safety and health policy, manual and procedures to comply with government regulations and requirements.
  • Daily monitoring of the safety and health compliance with JKKP regulations and take immediate corrective actions for unsafe acts or conditions encountered.
  • Investigate accidents, compile or verify accident reports, and liaise with the PIC to identify the root causes of incidents.
  • Liaise with JKKP, Bomba, DOE and any relevant authorities regarding matters related to Health, Safety and Environment for the premises.
  • Advice management on all matters related to Health, Safety, and Environment, ensuring compliance with Malaysian statutory acts and regulations.
  • To undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
