Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FMA, and related regulations.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and implement preventive measures.
  • Prepare and monitor Safety & Health policies and SOPs.
  • Investigate accidents and prepare statutory reports.
  • Liaise with authorities for inspections and audits.
  • Organise and conduct Safety & Health training and programs.
  • Lead ERT training and emergency drills.
  • Monitor usage of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Act as Secretary of the Safety & Health Committee.
  • Prepare monthly SHE reports and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure contractor and visitor compliance with SHE requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA), Factories and Machinery Act 1967 (FMA), and related regulations.
  • Conduct regular workplace and factory inspections to identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor Safety & Health policies, SOPs, HIRARC, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences; prepare statutory reports (JKKP 6, 7 & 8).
  • Liaise with DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, and other authorities for inspections, audits, and permit renewals.
  • Organise and conduct Safety & Health training, toolbox meetings, and safety awareness programs.
  • Lead Emergency Response Team (ERT) training and emergency drills.
  • Monitor and enforce proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Act as Secretary of the Safety & Health Committee and conduct monthly meetings.
  • Prepare monthly SHE reports, safety statistics, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure contractor and visitor compliance with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in Safety & Health or related discipline.
  • Possess NIOSH Occupational Safety & Health Officer (OSHO) Certificate.
  • Registered with NIOSH / JKKP (DOSH).
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ working experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian safety & health legislation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Green Book holder is an added advantage.
  • Able to work independently and proactively.
