A leading manufacturing company based in Pulau Indah, Klang is seeking a Safety and Health Officer. You will be responsible for liaising with authorities, implementing safety policies, and maintaining compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations. The ideal candidate has a degree in Occupational Health & Safety and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. You must be a team player, able to work with diverse staff levels, and possess your own transport.
To act as the company liaison with relevant authorities such as DOSH, Bomba on matters concerning Safety and Health.
Represents the organization in external affairs related to the environment or environmental legislation.
Implement policies, activities, procedure, instructions as required by the Laws/ Acts/ Regulations.
Revise procedures and related document when there an update of regulations.
Investigate any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or disease at workplace.
Inspect the work place to determine if plant, equipment, substance, appliance, process at the work place is safe.
Gather all monthly required safety documents, reports and required information from employees.
Record, track and follow up on all required staff safety training and records.
Gather all injury and vehicle accident reports in the case of an incident.
File all Workmen’s Compensation claims and vehicle accident claims.
Prepare related documents for third party audits.
Assist with annual audit.
Order and ship all required safety orientation and other safety department supplies as needed.
Assist in gathering and recording month end safety data performance reporting.
Acquisition assistance in setting up employee safety orientation, along with any additional set up needs.
Assist employer or safety & health committee in organizing & implementing occupational safety & health programme at workplace.
Maintain all required safety and health records needed for annual compliance.
Assist in observing, communicating and growing Company safety culture.
Candidate must possess at least Degree in Occupational Health & Safety.
At least 2 years of working experience in related filed or manufacturing environment.
Competent and well-versed with the latest Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Team player and able to work with all levels of staff.
Must possess transportation.
