Job description

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Retail Development Trainee to support our nationwide Himalaya boutiques. This role provides hands‑on experience across retail operations, training, visual merchandising (VM), marketing support and market research to ensure consistent, and portfolio growth as well as related administrative duties.

You will work closely with the Retail Operations team to ensure strong execution at store level and contribute to improving overall boutique performance.

PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Training & Development: To lead localisation of training materials for boutique team, and to conduct trainings for product and SOP knowledge.
  • Retail Operations Support: Assist to conduct routine store visits to monitor execution, customer experience, stock health and SOP compliance.
  • Merchandising & VM: Assist to create VM guidelines, and conduct checking to ensure planograms, product displays and POSM are implemented correctly.
  • Marketing & Retail Campaigns: Support festive booths, pop‑up events, samplings and GWP programmes, as well as liaison with partners where needed.
  • Reporting & Others: Assist in reporting, competitor checks, promotion tracking and monitor mystery shopper findings, as well as assist with enhancement.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with internal as well as external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to travel for boutique visits when required (travel allowance provided).
