Qualifications

Job Descriptions of Researcher (Chemist):

Responsibilities

• On instruction of manager or senior researcher, conduct physical and chemical analysis and evaluate performances of various insecticide products
• Assist manager or senior researcher in analytical method development, verification/validation of new method and providing technical support for manufacturing related activity (4M changes, etc.)
• Write test report (with interpretation & opinion, if necessary)
• Implement, maintain & execute given function in ISO 17025 & GLP system
• Develop & generate new idea for new insecticide formulated product / device
• Perform maintenance & calibration / verification of equipment
• Prepare test protocol with the approval of manager
• Maintain the laboratory’s technical files in good order
• Ensure stock / inventory of materials for pesticide formulations is sufficient from time to time
• Maintain laboratory in a good working condition
• Cooperate & work with other researcher from same / different group
• Report laboratory important matters (especially analysis result, technical & laboratory related matter) to manager on daily basis
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

• Degree (or higher) in analytical chemistry, chemistry or related field
• Preferably registered chemist with IKM (Institut Kimia Malaysia)
• Experience / advance user of gas and liquid chromatography (GC & HPLC), preferably that involves use of multiple detector & MS
• Knowledge in ISO 17025 & GLP procedures & documentation will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English (both oral & written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Word & Excel
