The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have at least 10 years of experience in ASU maintenance. Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Job Summary

The Deputy Maintenance and Reliability Manager will be responsible for the reliability management of our large‑scale operation site. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing the group's reliability and maintenance strategies, standards, best practices (BOP), and improvement plans.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading all maintenance functions across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure highly reliable operations.
  • Identifying site improvement opportunities, then developing and executing plans to continuously improve asset safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Planning and establishing maintenance strategies, engaging internal and external resources, and managing parts procurement.
  • Coordinating with the Operations Manager to plan and execute necessary plant shutdowns for maintenance work.
  • Leading and supporting a team of multi‑disciplinary engineers.
Candidate Requirements
  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or a technically related field).
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in ASU maintenance / Process systems, with a broad understanding of maintenance, repair, and retrofit of large rotating equipment, electrical systems, PLC, and static process systems. Must have at least 3 years in a managerial position.
    • Familiarity with ASU operations is a significant advantage.
  • Systems: Exposure to SAP production and maintenance modules. Familiar with safety systems.
  • Languages: Required: English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia. Business proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional planning, organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong execution ability and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels, from senior management and customers to engineering staff and third‑party contractors.
    • A collaborative team player who can also work independently, contribute to improving technology, and share knowledge.
    • Ability to apply information from relevant sources to design practical and scalable solutions.
