Job Purpose
Drive aggressive business growth by acquiring new-to-bank clients and deepening relationships with existing business accounts to expand payroll solution penetration. This role focuses on proactive prospecting, strategic sales execution, and collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver impactful acquisition activities across branch and channel networks. Additionally, the role involves identifying business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring successful payroll system activation to maximize portfolio growth and new acquisitions from both existing and new clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
- Achieve payroll acquisition targets for new employee sign-ups and meet cross-referral targets for Retail, Business, and other banking products.
- Act promptly on assigned leads and portfolios by conducting outreach calls, meeting clients, and converting opportunities into successful acquisitions.
- Upon successful sales closure, coordinate and initiate roadshows to drive CASA account openings, while actively cross‑selling products within the assigned portfolio and leveraging relationships with Corporate, Commercial, SME Banking, Branch Managers, and other stakeholders to maximize opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, campaigns, and events in line with bank policies, while identifying new business opportunities and collaborating with other segments or SBUs to optimize delivery.
- Maintain high productivity and demonstrate proactive, self‑initiated efforts to consistently achieve targets.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Deliver impactful presentations to introduce CIMB@Work payroll solutions and ensure smooth payroll transition and onboarding via BizChannel/OCTO Biz, including providing training and support when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with branches, business centres, and key partners to drive referrals and cross‑sell opportunities.
Governance, Insights & Capability Building
- Monitor market and competitor trends, provide insights and feedback to management, and ensure timely reporting and escalation of issues to CAW HQ and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal bank policies.
- Support training and development initiatives to enhance sales capabilities within the team.
- Align with HQ strategies to grow the payroll business, contribute to overall segment objectives, and collaborate effectively as a team to maximize outcomes.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking or with an established organization.
- Strong financial knowledge with solid business acumen.
