Job summary

A global home improvement brand in Malaysia is seeking a Regulatory Affairs & Product Compliance Manager to ensure that products meet all regulatory requirements and quality standards. This role involves developing compliance strategies, conducting risk assessments, collaborating across teams, and leading a compliance-focused culture within the organization. Ideal candidates will have over 8 years of experience in regulatory affairs and must excel in project management and communication skills, particularly in liaising with stakeholders in China.

  • Stayup-to-datewithlocal,national,andinternationalregulationsandstandardsrelevanttothecompany'sproducts.
  • Developandimplementcompliancestrategiestoensurethecompany'sproductsmeetlegalandqualitystandards.
  • Reviewandinterpretneworupdatedregulations,providingtimelyimpactassessmentsandimplementationplans.
  • Conductriskassessmentsonnewproductsandproductchanges,identifyingpotentialcompliancerisksanddevelopingmitigationplans.
  • Preparecompliancereportsformanagementandregulatoryauthoritiesasrequired.
  • Managerelationshipswithtestinglaboratories,certificationbodies,andrelatedstakeholders.
  • Assistexternalauditorsorregulatoryauthoritiesduringinspections.
Collaboration&StakeholderEngagement
  • Collaboratewithcross-functionalteams,includingthetradeteam,legaldepartmentandrelevantstakeholderstoalignproductcomplianceeffortswithbusinessgoals.

  • Monitortheeffectivenessofimplementedprocesschangesandcontinuouslyrefineapproachestoensuresustainedimprovements.

Requirements:

  • Hasmorethan8yearsofexperienceinregulatoryaffairsandproductcompliance.
  • Provenexperienceinaregulatorycompliancerolewithinasimilarindustry,withastrongunderstandingofrelevantregulationsandstandards.
  • Strongprojectmanagementskills,includingtheabilitytoorganize,prioritize&multitaskingtasks,managedeadlinesandcoordinatecross-functionalteams.
  • Experienceleadingateam.
  • Excellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills,withtheabilitytopresenttechnicalinformationclearlytodiverseaudiences.ProficiencyinwrittenChineseisrequiredtoliaiseeffectivelywithsuppliersinChina.
  • Effectiveleadershipabilities,capableofmotivatingteamsandachievinggoals.
