Role Summary

The Regional Sales Manager / Director for Elite Elevators in Malaysia will oversee sales strategies, manage regional sales teams, and drive business growth across designated regions. This leadership role requires strategic thinking, market insight, and operational execution to ensure the company’s products (elevators and related solutions) gain strong market positioning. The role also involves maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, developers, architects, and regulatory authorities as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Leadership: Regularly visit each store within the region to ensure sales strategies are instituted and goals are met. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in line with company goals. Oversee daily sales operations in assigned regions and set performance objectives to maximize market penetration. Lead and manage the regional sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities with potential customers, including property developers, construction firms, and governmental bodies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to promote and position offerings effectively. Lead tendering, bidding, and contract negotiation processes for major projects.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team across the region. Set performance targets and ensure consistent performance management and reporting. Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, promoting motivation and professional development.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding sales performance, market conditions, and business development efforts. Collaborate with operations, technical support, and finance to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in sales, with at least 1 year in a leadership role, preferably in the lift, construction, or engineering industries. Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing large-scale sales teams. Experience in handling large commercial contracts and tenders.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management, excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach. Knowledge of the lift industry, regulations, and market dynamics in Malaysia. Proficient in CRM software Salesforce and Google Sheets. Ability to travel frequently across the region.
  • Leadership: Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a high-performance sales team. Strategic Thinking: Capable of analysing market trends and positioning the company for growth. Customer Focus: Strong emphasis on client needs and relationship-building. Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and managing profitability. Negotiation Skills: Expertise in contract negotiation, ensuring favourable terms for the company.
