Responsible for driving the group’s strategic expansion into Southeast Asia. This role focuseson identifying and securing growth opportunities, building strong business partnerships, andexecuting market entry strategies across key countries such as Singapore, Malaysia,Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam or Philippines. The candidate should have proven experiencein international market development, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to navigatediverse cultural and regulatory environments. Additionally require a deep understanding of FMCG/Health & Beauty industries, cultural and regulatory dynamics.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Market Entry & Expansion: Develop and execute market entry strategies for Southeast Asian countries, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Conduct detailed market research on consumer behaviour, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Business Development & Partnerships: Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships with distributors, retailers, resellers, and B2B clients. Build and maintain high-value business relationships across the region to drive long-term growth. Lead negotiations and close business deals to expand market presence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, legal, supply chain) to localize offerings and ensure successful go-to-market execution.
  3. Market Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities across the region. Enhance brand visibility and credibility in new and existing markets.
  4. Performance Management & Reporting: Track sales pipeline, deal progress, and expansion performance using CRM and reporting tools. Provide leadership with insights and actionable recommendations for continuous growth improvement.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Marketing, or a related field (MBA
preferred).

6–10 years of experience in business development, with proven exposure to Southeast Asian
markets.

Strong exposure to FMCG, Beauty, Pharmaceutical, or Retail industries.

Demonstrated success in launching products or services in new international markets.

Strong network within Southeast Asia (distributors, retailers, regulators).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Self-starter with strategic thinking, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.

Fluent in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, Mandarin, or Thai is an addedadvantage.

Willingness to travel extensively within the regions.
