Job summary

A technology solutions company in Malaysia is seeking an R&D Manager for their Display & Electronics Division. This role involves leading the development of LCD and display module products, ensuring high-quality product launches, and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in display technologies and a strong background in project management. This is a senior position requiring effective collaboration with various departments and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in display module or electronics product development.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or senior engineer leadership role.
• Experience with international customers is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all new product development (NPD) projects from concept to mass production.
• Review and approve product specifications, drawings, BOM, and technical documentation.
• Ensure effective design planning and risk assessment.

Skills

Strong knowledge in LCD technologies

Experience in electronics and IC selection

Understanding of FPC and PCBA layout

Familiar with tooling development

Hands‑on experience with DVT and reliability testing

Familiarity with component sourcing challenges

Strong project management

Excellent problem‑solving skills

Effective communication

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Tools

ERP systems (EB, SAP, Agile)
