Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated individual for product development, requiring at least a degree in Industrial Design or related fields. The ideal candidate will collaborate with R&D, Production, and QC departments to improve current products and develop new ones. Experience with production and proficiency in design software like AutoCad and Solidworks is essential. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must in this dynamic role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of working experience, with manufacturing experience being an added advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and long hours.
• Working knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 is an added advantage.

Job description

Responsible for the development of new products and new processes. On going improvement to existing products & processes.

To assist R & D Chief in developing new and improving current products.

To work closely with Production and QC Department in new product development and product improvement.

Working together with marketing team for new product development and design.

Responsible for following up samples / product development as requested by customer.

Develop products in accordance to customer's requirements.

Work with internal teams to resolve issues/problems related to design.

Additional or new responsibilities may be assigned to from time to time as and when necessary.

Ensure proper housekeeping of the R&D database, implementing and maintaining good practice in the operation of the department.

Job Specifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree / Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Art & Design, R&D Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience with manufacturing working experience will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCad, Photoshop, Illustrator, Solidworks, etc
• Self-motivated personality and able to work under pressure and long hours.
• High level of creativity.
• Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
• Working knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 would be an added advantage.
