Job summary

A research and development company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an R&D Engineer/Research Associate to assist in various research projects. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Master's Degree in Engineering, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have experience in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Qualifications

Sphere Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and dynamic R&D Engineer/Research Associate to join our Research Unit. The primary role is to assist Research Scientists in conducting research & development projects, supporting activities, and contributing to research ideas.

The candidate must be able to read, assimilate, and communicate information from findings or literature searches. Good command of English is a must. Being technically strong or able to pick up technical matters will be helpful.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct search, assimilate data, and communicate information from literature and other forms of search
  • Search for suppliers/materials and other supporting activities for research and company
  • Contribute to the design, execution, and interpretation of research across a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies
  • Contribute to the design, execution, and interpretation of prototypes across a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
  • Prepare and present project deliverables
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2:1 (Second Class Upper Honours) in Masters Degree or higher in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering fields. Masters or Doctorate preferred.
  • Has research experience either in the University or in professional setting (preferred)
  • Experienced with quantitative and qualitative study, design, data collection, and analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other tools. Proficient in AutoCAD will be helpful.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of initiative, creativity, and inquisitive
  • Works well with others, as well as independently under minimal supervision
  • Has strong attention to detail, organised and can multi-task
  • Is systematic
