Purpose of the Job
  • Design/ Develop/ execute PLC software to new product development, improvement and customised design.
  • Design/ Develop/ execute electrical and control solutions to new products.
  • Plan resources and support PM/ lead engineers in new initiatives.
  • Work directly with other engineering disciplines to establish product concepts, perform design verifications, carry ideas through final product design and rapidly respond to design changes.
  • Provide technical support to product engineering/ production/ servicing team of Bromma CSP and CME product line.
Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for new software development related to new product development.
  • To develop and improve new/ existing products, know-how, components, equipment, systems, and processes.
  • To develop testing and verification procedures on Bromma products and services by working closely with cross functional teams.
  • Evaluate product performance based on technical specs/ customer requirements.
  • Documentation on development progress and activities.
Requirements
  • Education
    • A relevant Degree in Software/Electrical/Control Engineering discipline.
    • Minimum 3 years of applicable working experience with relevant electrical/control feedback loop design work.
    • Experience in electrical design and control system of industrial machinery and/or crane equipment
  • Skills
    • Working experience in CoDeSys, i.e. using the following platform tools :
    • IL (instruction list)
    • ST (structured text)
    • LD (ladder diagram)
    • FBD (function block diagram)
    • SFC (sequential function chart)
    • Experience using Siemens PLC in the above platform tools will be advantageous
  • Familiar with programming languages like
    • C++
    • C#
    • Python
    • Javascript
    • Familiar with international electrical standards would be an added advantage.
    • Good understanding of basic Electrical and Electronics.
    • Communicates well in English.
    • Familiar with CE compliances
  • Able to work under minimum supervision
