A leading food manufacturer located in Negeri Sembilan is seeking an R&D specialist to ensure compliance with FSSC standards and oversee documentation processes. The role involves collaborating with quality assurance, conducting product trials, and managing development activities. Candidates should have experience in food safety protocols and excellent project management skills. Ensure that all R&D documentation aligns with FSSC requirements and standards.
Implement and maintain documentation procedures that adhere to food safety protocols.
Establish and maintain a robust document control system for FSSC compliance.
Regularly review and update documentation to reflect any changes in FSSC standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to prepare for FSSC audits by organizing and reviewing relevant documentation.
Address any identified gaps or issues in documentation before scheduled audits.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address any non-conformities identified during FSSC audits.
Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Identify opportunities to enhance FSSC documentation processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay informed about updates and changes in FSSC standards.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure alignment between FSSC requirements and overall quality management processes.
Participate in joint projects or initiatives to enhance overall food safety and quality.
Review and approve new ingredients/technology for product development.
ConductR&Donthenewingredientsselectionpurposeswheneverrequired and work closely with the Purchasing, Warehouse, and Quality Assurance departments on evaluation of ingredient purchase and vendor.
Lead in conducting laboratory trials for new & existing products to evaluate, fine tune formulation in terms of taste profile.
Lead and establish new product technical details and specification for ingredients lists, finish product, NIP on packaging.
Monitor and lead R&D team on sensory evaluations for new raw material replacement or new products with full reports.
Manage product development activities and participate in cross-departmental activities resulting in meeting food safety and quality objectives.
Organize training on subject matter regarding products in the form of workshop, seminars and bakery courses when required.
Consolidate and send monthly report related to R&D department. Eg. Lab test cost, raw material requisition (weekly) and etc.
Manage and upkeeping recipe in D365 updated and same with production recipe sign off version.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
