Overview

UKUR BAHAN KONSULT' is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor - Project Executive to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in our Taman Tun Dr Ismail office in Kuala Lumpur. As a Quantity Surveyor - Project Executive, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analysing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Monitoring and controlling project costs, identifying potential savings, and implementing cost-effective strategies
• Preparing and submitting progress reports, variation orders, and final accounts
• Providing technical and commercial advice to project teams and clients
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements
• Assisting in the preparation of tender documents and the bidding process
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the successful delivery of projects

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline, fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction processes, contract management, and cost control techniques
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficient in the use of construction software and technology, such as BIM and cost estimating tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application, Glodon TAS, TRB Measurement Software
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
