A construction and development company in Malaysia seeks a Quantity Surveyor to coordinate QS matters and assist in contract operations. Candidates should possess a relevant degree and 2–5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying. The role involves managing project cost control, conducting contract negotiations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Strong communication skills and Microsoft Office proficiency are essential for success in this position.
Coordinate and liaise with Site Personnel/ Project Engineer/Contract Manager/Project Manager/Consultants on QS matters.
Assist in the overall Pre and Post Contract in Contract Department operation (Pre-Qualification Assessment, Measurement, Preparation of Bills of Quantity, Tendering and Cost Analysis, Preparation of Award, Site Valuation, Prepare Monthly Interim Payment Certification and VO assessment, Final Account and etc.).
Maintain accurate records, update databases, and oversee monthly financial submissions for subcontractors and suppliers.
Collaborate with finance teams to support cash flow management, prepare forecasts, and compile project financial reports.
Identify potential risks, ensure contract alignment with legal and company standards, and work closely with the legal team when necessary.
Any other duties as assigned but not limited to the above.
Candidate must possess at least Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
At least 2-5 years of working experience in Quantity Surveying or equivalent in the developer, contractor or consultancy industry.
Possess good understanding of building and infrastructure contracts.
Ability to manage project cost control, cost analysis, call quotation, handle contract administrative works and regulate good contract documentation.
Ability to conduct contract negotiations during pre and post contract stages.
Possess good verbal and communication skills and proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
