Job description
Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with contractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost control measures are followed.
  • Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.
  • Assist in contract administration, including variation orders (VO) and extension of time (EOT) claims.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct site visits and verify on-site measurements when necessary.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records related to cost and contract matters.
  • Ensure compliance with local construction laws, CIDB standards, and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for junior roles).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Willing to travel to project sites as required.
