Job summary

A leading construction firm located in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor. The ideal candidate will perform site visits, prepare bills of quantities, and coordinate with contractors. Effective communication in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. Applicants should have a relevant degree and at least 2 years of experience, although fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. This position requires a commitment to excellence and the ability to work on weekends and overtime if needed.

Job description

Perform site visit and attend site meeting to monitor and evaluate work progress.

Prepares bill of quantities which involves quantity take-off, materials sourcing, measuring and estimating material cost and labour cost price in the tendering process.

Coordinate with labour & sub-contractors on the contract requirements / site condition prior to commencement of work.

Ensure all filling and documentation comply to ISO procedures.

Perform cost control, risk, and value management.

Compiling, evaluating and updating of cost analysis and cost plan.

Be able to work closely and liaise with design team, architectural and operation team.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Quantity Survey or equivalent.

At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.)

Good communication skills in English, Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates) and Bahasa Malaysia.

Required Skill(s): Microsoft Office & Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD.

Must possess own transport.

Able to work on weekends & overtime according to the site schedule.
