Job summary

A construction company in Klang, Selangor, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation and tender processes. The ideal candidate will perform quantity take-offs from engineering drawings, assist in contract management, and monitor expenses against budgets. Candidates with a Diploma in Quantity Surveying and less than 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required. This is a full-time, non-executive position offering a negotiable salary.

Job Overview

Responsibilities

Quantity Take-offs and Estimation: Perform accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings and specifications. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.

Tender & Contract Management: Assist in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities (BQ). Support the tendering process, including obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Cost Control & Monitoring: Monitor project costs against the budget, track expenses, and assist in preparing cashflow forecasts and cost reports.

Claims & Payments: Prepare and process progress claims for clients and payments for subcontractors. Assist in evaluating variations (Variation Orders) and preparing final accounts.

Liaison & Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, site personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial and contractual matters.

Documentation & Administration: Maintain accurate records and documentation of all project-related costs, contracts, and financial transactions.
