As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing costs, contracts, and providing expert advice to ensure the successful delivery of projects in the Johor Bahru region. What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
• Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers, subcontractors and other stakeholders
• Monitoring project budgets and costs, identifying potential savings and efficiencies
• Providing expert advice and guidance to project teams on contractual and commercial matters
• Preparing and processing payment certificates, variations, and final accounts
• Assisting with the resolution of contractual disputes and claims
• Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects

What we're looking for

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the Construction industry
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project control procedures
• Proficient in the use of relevant software, such as estimating and project management tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders
• Familiarity with local construction regulations and practices in the Johor Bahru region
